Community Rules
These guidelines help maintain a respectful and productive translation community.
1. Be Respectful
Treat all community members with respect. Harassment, discrimination, or personal attacks of any kind will not be tolerated. Constructive criticism of translations is welcome; personal insults are not.
2. Submit Quality Translations
Take the time to provide accurate, natural-sounding translations. Consider the context in which the text appears and aim for translations that a native speaker would find comfortable and clear.
3. No Unreviewed Machine Translation
Do not submit raw output from machine translation tools (e.g., Google Translate, DeepL) without thorough review and correction. Machine translation can be used as a starting point, but every submission must be manually reviewed and refined by someone fluent in the target language.
4. Vote Honestly
Vote based on translation quality, not personal preference or relationships. Do not coordinate votes with other users, use multiple accounts to influence voting, or systematically downvote other contributors' work.
5. Stay on Topic
Keep discussions focused on translations and the games being localized. Comments and notes should be relevant to helping improve translation quality.
6. Respect Game Developers
Game developers trust the community to handle their content with care. Do not share unreleased content, spoilers, or proprietary information found in translation keys.
7. One Account Per Person
Each person may only have one account. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate votes, bypass bans, or gain unfair advantages is prohibited and will result in all accounts being permanently banned.
Enforcement
Violations of these rules may result in warnings, temporary restrictions, or permanent bans depending on the severity and frequency of the offense. Game owners may also set additional rules for their specific projects.
